Identity Consult deliver a full range of services within the Local Government sector including Development Consultancy, Project Management, Cost Management, Employer’s Agent and Digital Consultancy roles across both strategic programmes of work and individual capital projects.
Our experience within the Local Government sector is very wide ranging, extending from strategic roles working within local authorities through to the capital delivery of projects. At a strategic level, a number of our staff have provided support to regeneration teams either through part time seconded roles or direct commission to facilitate the progression of projects through to approval for planning and procurement stages. This includes the preparation of business case papers and formal Cabinet Reports with social value outputs clearly researched and captured. The benefits of using Identity Consult can be seen through the way in which we integrate and embed themselves as part of the team; liaising with other Council departments such as Planning, Legal, Procurement, Highways, Property and Business Growth Teams as well as engaging with key external stakeholders on the Council’s behalf.
At a capital delivery level, we have supported the delivery of projects ranging from £500,000 to £35m in the roles of Development Manager, Project Manager, Quantity Surveyor and Employer’s Agent. These projects include major infrastructure to facilitate delivery of masterplans, leisure centres, cinemas, city centre office blocks, listed building refurbishments and new homes.
Our Development Management expertise and commercial understanding from working in other sectors has allowed us to develop viable and deliverable masterplans with local authorities including leisure led schemes, major housing projects and city centre regeneration initiatives.
Our sector knowledge has allowed us to secure a position on a range of frameworks and DPSs which can be accessed by local authorities including Pagabo, Bloom, YorConsult, EN: Procure and Procure Partnerships.
About Us
Our expertise extends to a deep understanding of the sector’s governance, funding streams and procurement requirements and from this understanding we have developed procedure manuals and project management handbooks as well as project monitoring dashboards for internal use by local authority officers. We offer procurement advice within the constraints of Public Procurement Law and the Public Contract Regulations and have worked with local authorities to develop procurement strategies that meet the requirements of these regulations whilst delivering real value. We have also worked on a number of commissions in the Education sector where projects have been match funded by Local Enterprise Partnerships. This level of experience enables Identity Consult to take our clients through the necessary steps in order to make their project a success, benefitting both the client and funder.
